Gift of Adoption Receives Matching Grant from the Ralph and Eileen Swett Foundation

In December 2010, Gift of Adoption was the recipient of a $10,000 challenge grant from the Ralph and Eileen Swett Foundation. The purpose of the challenge grant was to inspire four new members to join Gift of Adoption's investor Board prior to January 14, 2011.

We are please to announce that during this time period we welcomed five new members to the Investor Board, and as a result of the match, each of these new members will have the gratification of a GOA adoption grant awarded in their name.

Thanks to the Ralph and Eileen Swett Foundation for their trmendous support of and belief in the Investor Board and Gift of Adoption mission..

"Where else could a small investment give an orphaned or foster child a family's love for a lifetime? My gift literally pays a lifetime of dividends. I challenge anyone to come up with a chaitable endeavor that has a higher return than adoption." - Tim Swett

The goal of Gift of Adoption is to commit all funds raised through Giving Circles, Regional Chapters, and Community Outreach groups directly to grants.

To meet this goal, we strive to fund our core operations through contributions from members of the Investor Board and National Board of Directors.

Investor Board Members are individuals who believe in the Gift of Adoption mission and are committed to the organization’s success. They endorse the organization by agreeing to donate $2,500 each year for three years to fund core operations.
